Richard and Carolyn joined WEC in January 1980 and have been with them ever since. They learnt French and then spent 16 years in Senegal where their focus was Bible translation and team leadership. When they left Senegal they spent 2 years in Leamington and then went to Bulstrode in 2000 to be Candidate Directors before joining the Management Team in 2007. They left Bulstrode in 2012 and settled in Leamington.

Connection with St Paul's
Carolyn became a member of St Pauls in 1975 when she worked at the National Children’s Home. In 1977 she went to Bible College where she met Richard and when they finished Bible college they joined WEC. Straight after joining WEC they were married and soon after spent 6 weeks working in the parish with Andrew Dow. During their 2 years in Leamington, after leaving Senegal, they were involved in several aspects of St Paul's life including the GO team and the coordination of Home Groups.

They have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.  Their daughter Ruth and husband Tom used to be members of St Paul's before they moved to Rugby.
