Local Outreach

Alongside 'Churches together in Leamington', here at St Paul's we want to see our community transformed by the love of Jesus in everything we do. We believe that God loves every person in our community and that is why we long to see Leamington changed, one life at a time. We are involved with various ministries which help to support those who need it most, from healing to helping make ends meet.

  • The Well Christian Healing Centre
  • Christians Against Poverty
  • Foodbank
  • Street Pastors
  • Thrive
  • Home for Good
  • Night Light
  • CrossTeach
  • Christian Resource Centre
  • Warwick Gates Centre for Relational Care
  • Night Shelter
  • Homeless Action Project

The Well

The Well Logo

The Well ChristianHealing Centre, led by Anne Hibbert, is a place where people of all faiths and none can have prayer for healing. At St Paul's, we support the Well financially and by hosting a number of their events.  Several St Paul's members are on the Well Prayer Team. Weekly healing prayer sessions are held at their base in Augusta Place as well as Quiet Days and Healing Training courses.

Christians Against Poverty (CAP)

CAP Logo

CAP is a national charity which seeks to lift people out of debt and poverty through an award winning debt help service and money management course, the CAP Money Course. In Leamington, the CAP Debt Centre is based at St Mary’s Church. During 2015, St Paul's developed a partnership with CAP, to provide be-frienders for those who CAP are working with as they become debt-free, and people to run the Money Course.

CAP Money courses are run occasionally at St Paul's and in other venues locally.  To find out more about courses, call 01926 426438 or email berylchisholm@capmoneycourse.org.

Street Pastors

Street Pastors Logo

Street pastors are a team of volunteers from many Christian Churches in Leamington, seeking to create a more harmonious and safer environment for those out and about on the town’s streets at night. Following the ethos of the other 250 Street Pastor initiatives nationally, we will talk about our faith if questioned but we are not about preaching.

Our prime purpose is to offer non-judgemental caring and support through listening and helping, meeting the needs of all, regardless of background. In delivering this we very much work in partnership with Warwick District Council who have been very supportive. St Paul's is very proud to be a key supporter of the Street Pastors ministry and we want to encourage those who it might suite to get involved.

Thrive

Thrive Logo

Thrive Youth Ministries is a locally based charity which exists to help churches in Leamington and the surrounding areas to be bolder and more confident in reaching out and discipling children and young people. Thrive is run by Andy Castle, a member of St Paul’s. Thrive works with over 60 different local churches in different capacities mentoring youth & children’s workers. These meetings are a chance to talk honestly about the highs and lows of ministry and to discuss how they can grow in leadership.

Thrive runs training events for those working with children and young people, organise regular network gatherings for leaders to share ideas, resources and frustrations. They also organise an annual spiritual retreat for leaders called ‘Resolution’.

Thrive invests directly in children and young people by running an annual youth weekend away, hosting a youth growing leaders programme and running a regular worship event for primary school aged children.
